During this time, Dr. P T Shah - who was then a Sr. Prod. Engineer and working under the able leadership of Shri Nanubhai Amin at M/s. Jyoti Ltd., Baroda, took a leap forward and set up a small-scale industry at GIDC estate, Makarpura road, Baroda named as Hemant Industries. This was with a long sight and vision to provide services to the Industry and the up growing Nation India. With his experiences at Tata Chemicals Ltd., Sayaji Iron and Jyoti ltd. and his continued exposure to various section of an industry and the iniquity of learning and in-depth study, he rendered his services to large and medium scale industries in and around Baroda and the whole of Gujarat state. He worked on manufacturing and fabrication of equipment and more on Import substitution items.
