The Rotating Cantilever Fatigue testing machine is intended for determining the fatigue strength under reversed bending stresses. It is suitable to determine the fatigue life and location of fatigue failure of metals specimens subjected to alternating stress cycles. The high operating speeds of modern machine and the extreme stress ranges to which the material of construction is subjected, make fatigue testing a necessity. Fatigue testing of materials in an important prerequisite for the construction of structual componants like aircraft parts, axles,crank shafts, connecting rods, springs, pinion teeth, floor beams of bridges which are subjected to cyclist stresses; and hence the importance of fatigue test,by industries engaged on machine design or manufacturers of such componants or parts,is most essentials. The Fatigue Testing Machine Machine helps in determining the fact as to how much strong the specimen is against bending where it has to bear a continuous rotating stress. The specimen is rotated by an induction motor. A cut-out switch is provided to stop the machine when the specimen fails.
