What is RoHS?

The RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directives controlled by European Union, Which monitors the uses of restricted Hazardous substances in electronic and electrical equipments. RoHS directives came into force on 1St July 2006.

This Directive ensures all electrical and electronic products sold in the EU do not contain more than legal thresholds of restricted chemical hazards like:

  • Lead (Pb)
  • Mercury (Hg)
  • Hexavalent Chromium (Cr+6)
  • Cadmium (Cd)
  • Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB)
  • Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)

Technique used in complete RoHS Analysis:

  • ICP
  • UV-Visible
  • GC-MS
