Description

Lean or dilute phase pressure conveying systems one of the most common conveying methods used for powders and granules, such as sugar or flour. The system uses positive displacement blowers - providing air at up to 1 Bar (g) - to convey materials through a pipeline to a destination where the air and product are separated by a filter.
Features: Ideal for materials that are smooth and robust with a light bulk density.
  • Commonly used for dosing and continuous weighing systems.
  • A wide range of convey rates and distances that can be tailored to the materials being delivered.
  • The ability to convey materials from single or multiple sites to multiple destinations
  • The low operating pressures allow less expensive pipelines and fittings to be used
  • A simplistic and economical design,
Options
  • Air filtration, De- humidification and cooling systems
  • Inline sifting, Sampling, De -lumping, metal detection and magnetic separation systems
  • weighing and dosing equipment
  • Special feeding systems for cohesive, sticky or lumpy products and other special properties
  • Easy for cleaning design
  • Stainless steel construction for sanitation or corrosion resistance
  • Stepped lines to reduce terminal velocities, abrasion and degradation.
Pressure Conveying - Dense Phase Dense Phase Pressure Conveying Systems generally use compressed air in between 1 Bar (g) to push materials through a conveying line to its destination where the air and product are separated. The product extrudes through the pipeline, initially at a low velocity, and gradually accelerates towards the destination. Typical System - Generally operate on a batch basis
  • Fill the pressure vessel unit with product to be conveyed
  • Pressurize with compressed air
  • Open the discharge valve until the product has been conveyed out
  • Close the discharge valve and refill the vessel.
  • A panel of supplementary air valves and sensors with correct fluidization is used to control the air pressure in the pipe and the velocity of the material at intervals throughout the system to ensure the smooth conveying of the material. This also allows the flow of the material to be stopped and started again with relative ease.
 Features:
  • A high conveying rate and distance, but sacrifices low convey velocity
  • The ability to convey materials from a single point to multiple destinations.
  • The ability to convey fragile, heavy or abrasive materials
Options To optimize the system, various techniques can be used to reduce compressed air consumption and cost, and additional options for specialized applications are available:   Twin vessels to provide continuous conveying
  • Line boosters to assist conveying
  • Air injectors to fluidize materials to reduce friction
  • Pulsed air injection to break up the product flow into discrete slugs
  • Vibration to loosen cohesive powders prior to conveying
  • Inline sampling, De-lumping, metal detection and magnetic separation systems
  • stepped lines to reduce terminal velocities, abrasion and degradation
  • stainless Steel construction for sanitation or corrosion resistance
  • Polished designs as per FDA standards with ease of cleaning facility.
